Kaname Sudō, an ordinary high school student, receives an invitation from a friend to try a mysterious app called “Darwin’s Game.” Thinking it’s just a game, he accepts—and is immediately attacked by a real-life assassin with supernatural abilities.

To his horror, Kaname learns that Darwin’s Game is a deadly, real-world survival game where players (called Players) are granted unique powers known as Sigils. The game can be triggered at any time, and the fights are to the death—with real consequences. No one can leave once they’re involved.

Kaname, initially just trying to survive, quickly realizes there’s more to the game than meets the eye: hidden rules, powerful factions, and shadowy organizers pulling the strings behind the scenes. As he navigates this underground world of combat, strategy, and betrayal, Kaname decides he won’t just play to survive—he’ll find a way to bring it all down.
